Dr. WD Martin Jr/Executive Director
WD Martin Jr, is the driving force behind the organization and fills the Executive Director role. WD earned the degree, rank and academic status, Master's in Barber Styling, with which in turn WD has owned and operated a chain of Hair Styling Salons and a Hair Styling College. Additionally, he has several years of social service project management. While working as the program manager of Family Friend Outreach, WD developed a proactive empowerment program which has become the foundation for Family Friend's collaborative approach to empowerment. During and since his tenure as program manager, WD has developed a comprehensive network of personal and professional contacts with key community leaders. This will be instrumental in raising the profile of Family Friend Outreach within the community as well as having a significant impact on fundraising activities. WD's role as the Executive Director is to design, develop and implement strategic plans for the organization in a cost-effective and time-efficient manner. He is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the organization, including managing committees and staff and developing business plans in collaboration with the board for the future of the organization.
Yanni Martin/Vice President
Yanni Martin is second in command at Family Friend. He's enrolled at Newman University in Wichita, studying marketing and graphic design. He will use his college degree to further his work at Family Friend. Yanni is also WD's son!

These beautiful young ladies came to us one day and said, "We want to be part of you all,...we want to help the poor!" They have been with WD ever since, volunteering and helping feed the poor in the streets of Wichita. Some are in college also, at Newman University.

Gary Thompson/Master Barber Stylist
Gary Thompson is a master barber, stylist, here in Wichita. He specializes in barbering of any ethnicity. He also cut and style women hair. He has come on board here at the organization and has agreed to donate his services to the homeless veteran in order to give them a chance to look and feel good about themselves. To give them a sense of dignity. Everyone can do their part to help our veterans, says Gary. I am thankful that I can use my talent in this way to bless someone in need. He is well-spoken of in the community and professionalism is his main objective.
Leslie A. Hamilton/CDM/CFPP
Leslie serves as a Certified Dietary Manager, Certified Food Protection Professional, Food safety and sanitation serve safe. He is a member of the Dietary Manager Association. Work history include-Director of food service-work with dietitians-Dietary Manager-Work Release-Assisted Living Facilities and Nursing Homes-Restaurants-Also has Certification in Home Health Aide-Certified Nurse Assistant and Medication Aide.

Singers W D Martin, Jr.—President, Producer, Lead Vocals, Background Vocals, Keyboards and Song Writer W D Martin, Jr. is a singer/songwriter, Vandor producer, World Wide Licensed Music Distributor and full time owner of Yanni’s Hair Studio. Hair Stylist based in Wichita, Kansas. He also own Nitram Records, Production and Studio. President of the group “Family Friend.” He was born in Mississippi, the 3rd child of 10, to W D Sr. and Corene Martin. Move to Wichita at the age of eight months, then, moved again to the Los Angeles, California area in 1978 and is now a native of Wichita Kansas. He's been playing guitar, drums and keyboards since the age of 11 and writing since he was 14 years old. He was nominated and the winner of the 1988 “Glen Ledbetter New Artist Award.” He has one album/CD as a credit; “Cast Your Bread” released 1995. He has a song that charted name, (“Forever” 2001) for over a year on an international level. He started a program called “Family Friend Outreach,” which use grants to take Gangs off the streets and helped them do something productive. The music is what helps get to them. He holds a Master degree from American Barber College in L. A. California and a BS in business from University of Almeda. He has own four styling salons and one “Barber College.” W D has been performing in the R & B and Gospel music scene for over 39 years. Formerly with The Gospel Invaders, W D formed Nitram Records, Inc. in 1996 to form this current band, "Family Friend." Education: Master in Barber Styling from University of American Barber in LA. Bachelor of Science with a major in Business Administration from Almeda University. Octavio Rolfe—Lead Vocals & Background Vocals and Song Writer Octavio Rolfe is a singer/songwriter, promoter, and full time owner of Mr. Clean Janitorial Service, based in Wichita, Kansas. He’s been singing and performing for over 50 years. Enois Scroggins—Producer, Lead Vocals, Background Vocals, Percussionist & Song Writer. After eight years as professional R&B singer and musician, working with such great artist as renown Jazz Saxophonist Branford Marsalis, Ronnie Wilson of the famous GAP Band, Charlie Singleton lead guitarist for the group Cameo, Pastor J.W.T. Spies, Singer and Musical Genius, Tracy Neely Kansas City's premier guitarist, he was lead singer for the group Uncle Remus based out of Baton Rouge, La. Also worked with The legend Rudy Love and the Love Family of Wichita, Ks, Jim Farrell,singer,musician,Producer and member of The Famous Prairie Rose Wraglers of Wichita,Ks and now with the Gospel trio Family Friend of Wichita, ks. He is a Social and Spiritual adviser for a Kansas based organization founded by his cousin C.E. "Sonny" Scroggins, called Bias Busters, an organization reaching for freedom, Justice and Equality for all Kansans and All People. Bias Busters is a member of the National Action Network. He also is Chaplain of the First Kansas Colored Association, a Civil War reenactment group based in Topeka, Kansas. Let the story be told, and may it be told boldly today... Enois is a man driven by determination, commitment, integrity and persistence. A native of Oklahoma, born and raised in Muskogee, moved to Los Angeles, California in 1988 after living 8 years in Tulsa, Ok. and now resides in Wichita, Ks. He released a solo album/CD January 2003 called "Heavenly Blessed" He also released a album/CD with the group "Family Friend" in 2003. Enois was nominated and the winner of the 2002 Omer Awards, Kansas City's Gospel Music Awards Show of Excellence for Best Gospel Contemporary Song of the Year. He also is co-writer on several song's on his cousin's CD, Rudy Love and the Love Family entitled Infinite Love released January 2003. He appeared on KTBO TV 14-The Trinity Broadcast Network in Oklahoma City, January 17th,2003. In 1985 Enois gave his life to the lord and in 1988 he was called into the Ministry. He was ordained by Elder James Hill, Pastor of Northside Christian Center in Tulsa, OK. Enois is now celebrating 19 years in ministry, singing and Preaching God's Word., which is, as he would say the most rewarding time in his life. He has appeared with "Family Friend" on the "ISBN" Network, "The New Jim Bakker Show in Branson, Mo."Bobby Jones Show" and a host of other venues!

Octavio Rolfe, WD Martin, Jr. and Enois Scroggins, all of Wichita, sing Gospel music Thursday at the Capitol in Topeka. The entertainment was part of a resolution the Kansas Senate passed Thursday celebrating the 50th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Brown v. Board of Education.

My name is Vesta Florence. I am the Owner/Broker of Vigent Real Estate. Everyone can agree that I am a good Owner/Broker and that I like to study to equip myself in this business. My favorite subjects are accounting and business. Twenty years ago, my goal was to enter the desired courses needed because my goal was and is, to become a respected professional in this field. Today I can say, I have met this goal. I can say that I am a responsible and a hard-working Owner/Broker. Moreover, being a sociable person, I have many friends since I like to communicate with people and get to know new and interesting individuals. I enjoy my time in Real Estate: it is a really nice field to be in, my Associates say I am very friendly and always ready to help. The atmosphere cannot but make me happy to be working in this field. I like to receive and deal with challenging tasks. I am a very enthusiastic person and I think this is a strong point of mine. My friends say that I am a very funny and an interesting girl with a good sense of humor. As soon as I meet new people who are happy to meet me, I feel extremely comfortable with them. I believe that friendship is one of the most important values in human life. We exchange new ideas, find many interesting things about each other and experience new things. I appreciate friendship and people who surround me. Meeting new people who support all my efforts to grow and develop my skills not only in Real Estate subjects but also in my hobbies, gives me a lot of energy. Many of those friends who surround me now, I met on the street while volunteering and doing my hobby. I’m in love with photography, so the thing I love doing so much became even more enjoyable. I decided to take beautiful pictures of accidental people and share these photos with them by emails or in social media. I feel happiness inside seeing how happy they are looking at the pictures where they are walking or sitting somewhere in the park. In this way, Anna became my best friend and we both believe that we were meant to meet because she studies the same courses in Real Estate and we have similar life goals. The goal I’m currently striving for is to make this world a better place to live in by starting the changes with myself. Sure, I’ve had bad experiences in my life too, but this is exactly what made me the way I am now: grateful, full of love, with a desire to do well because it will help me become a successful person in the future and have a high quality of life. I believe that it is manifesting day by day and I feel even more responsibility for what I do and where I go. With all I already have, I know that I’m on the right path and I will do my best to inspire others to live the way they feel like living as well.
